Marc Huygens (DEME Group)

With a PhD in civil engineering and working experience in academics as well as industry, Marc Huygens has ample knowledge and insights in complex, multidisciplinary projects on e.g. offshore wind farms, harbor construction and coastal zone management. Since 2011, Marc Huygens is active at DEME Group, a world leader in the highly specialized fields of dredging, solutions for the offshore energy market, infra marine and environmental works. As a Senior Design Manager, Marc Huygens is an expert in the working fields of technical engineering related to both river and coastal hydro- and morphodynamics & civil engineering, application of permits and feasibility roads, numerical modelling of water and sediment dynamics in surface waters, coastal areas, ground water and offshore constructions, with special focus on offshore wind farms.
