Flemish stakeholder meeting on multifunctional flood defences for the Delta collaboration platform
Following the Flemish-Dutch Summit (4th November 2020, link), Campus Zeeland and Ghent University coordinate the “Delta collaboration platform” (link). The Delta platform will unite Flemish and Dutch researchers, governmental bodies and stakeholders to develop climate-proof solutions which tackle major global challenges affecting the region.
A joint research agenda focuses on three iconic projects:
- Multifunctional flood defence landscapes,
- Circular process industry with the North Sea Port Area as a pilot area and
- Sustainable development of offshore infrastructure.
The meeting of today is the first of a series to integrate, inform and coordinate between UGent en Campus Zeeland and the relevant stakeholders.
