The organisers have announced that the VLIZ Marine Science Day 2020 will be cancelled due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 episode.
VLIZ will finalize and publish the book of abstracts and will communicate about the awards. More information can be found on the website.

The Marine@UGent session focusses on the human expansion into ocean space (blue accelaration) and the potential impact on the sustainable development goals. As the blue economy thrives, the demands for ocean space are increasing: windfarms, aquaculture, shipping, marine protected areas, tourism. The goal of the session is to summarize the views of young marine scientists on the opportunities and threats of the blue accelaration. Your views will be queried via Slido, so don’t forget your smartphone.
